Tadic: Serbia expects that Council of Europe will keep the status-neutral engagement in Kosovo
Serbian President Boris Tadic on Wednesday in Belgrade met with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland and said that he expects the CoE to continue to play a status-neutral role in Kosovo.

According to his cabinet, he thanked the CoE for its endeavors to protect cultural heritage in southern province.
Jagland, who also met with a number of other top Serbian officials said that Serbia is on its way to becoming a stability factor in the region and that the Council of Europe will continue with the status-neutral approach when it comes to Kosovo.
Serbian Assembly Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic also reiterated Serbia's position on Kosovo and emphasized that Belgrade is determined to resolve the issue through peaceful and diplomatic means.
She pointed out that the organization should also be involved in the protection of human rights because, as she underlined, the way the non-Albanians are treated in the province is the shame of today's civilization.
