Further developments will depend on the decision of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), he added.
The ICJ is expected to give its advisory opinion this year on the legality under international law of the Kosovo Albanian unilateral proclamation made over two years ago.

"The survival of the independence project is now facing a critical crisis," reports quoted Feith as saying, and also noting that "Kosovo hopes the (ICJ) decision will be at least equal and contain positive elements in order to win new recognitions and better access to international organizations, that would help with the social and economic development of the country".

"We should await for the court's decision, but it's certainly time to start thinking differently about our future," he said, speaking at the Institute of European and International Relations in Dublin, Ireland.

He said that the Kosovo Albanian government in Pristina "must turn words into actions when it comes to fighting corruption on the highest level".
