"Based on the initial results of the investigation in the case, a statement was taken from parents who said that they saw their children throwing rocks at the bus. Police believe that the same children threw rocks at the tents," Ibra said.
The Serb returnees were visited on Thursday by KFOR officials who urged them to remain in the village, adding that KFOR would guarantee their safety.
UNMIK Chief Lamberto Zannier condemned the attacks, calling on dialogue between officials of the Serb and Albanian communities that "must live together."
Zannier said that he was concerned by the attack on the 26 Serb returnee families that had stones thrown at their camp.
He said "such incidents can negatively affect the delicate process of the return of displaced persons to their homes in Kosovo."
