Meeting of UNMIK Head with Serbs canceled after Albanians pressure

The meeting of UNMIK Head Lamberto Zanier and representatives of the Albanian community with those of the Serb inhabitants in northern Kosovo has been canceled due to the pressure from Albanians, stated Head of the Kosovska Mitrovica district Radenko Nedeljkovic.

He told the press conference that the cancelation is yet another proof that the Albanians do not wish to discuss the return of expelled Serbs.

The question arises about the role of the international community, as under the pressure of Albanians it does not allow the Serbs to present their problems and find a solution for the return to their homes, said Nedeljkovic.

He pointed that such actions are sending a clear message to all non-Albanians that they are not welcome south of the Ibar River and that there are no conditions for their return.
