According to the local Klokot Radio from Kosovo, the installation was set up on Mucibaba Hill near the town of Presevo in southern Serbia, and next to a Serbian MUP Gendarmerie base there.
Kosovsko Pomoravlje District Chief Dragan Nikolic confirmed for KiM Radio that Belgrade-based mobile operators had reestablished service in that part of the province late on Sunday, but could not say how this was done.
"Some 10,000 Serbs have mobile and landline telephony service restored, while municipalities of Novo Brdo, parts of Vitina, and parts of Kosovska Kamenica are still without service," Nikolic was quoted as saying.
