UN Security Council to discuss Kosovo

The United Nations Security Council is to discuss the situation in Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina today.

Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic will take part at the session, Beta news agency learned at the Foreign Ministry.

UN mission in Kosovo, UNMIK, chief Lamberto Zannier and Kosovo Albanian government's foreign minister, Skender Hyseni will also be present, according to reports.

The agenda of the Security Council session in New York this Monday will also include a report on the work of UNMIK.

This is a regular report by UNMIK, for the period from Dec. 15, 2009 to March 15, 2010, which will include as an addendum a report on the work of EULEX, according to the Pristina media.

In his report to the Security Council, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon voiced concern over Pristina's new policy toward northern, Serb areas of Kosovo, and urged it to be cautious in implementing its new strategy for this area.
