Amnesty: Discrimination against non-Albanians in Kosovo
There are big problems in the field of human rights in Kosovo and that especially refers to discrimination against non-Albanians and ethnic violence, Amnesty International reports.

The attitude of judiciary in Kosovo to war crime processing is a special problem.
Although EULEX has taken over part of responsibility from UNMIK and formed, together with the provincial ministry of justice, mixed judicial councils for war crime trials, there was no progress in that field, states Amnesty, pointing to the continual breach of human rights in Kosovo and the infringement of the rights of those engaged in sanctions against war criminals.
The report points to the fact that more than 1,800 families living in central Serbia now do not know anything of the fate of their family members, who went missing in war conflicts in Kosovo in 1999.
Amnesty also points to the torture in Kosovo prisons and the fact that prisoners are deprived of their basic rights.
