Kosovo in Sarajevo under UNSC Resolution 1244
Serbia has "foiled an attempt" by Kosovo Albanian representatives to speak at the EU-Western Balkans conference "in a manner not prescribed by the UNSCR 1244".

This is according to a report by Tanjug news agency, which quotes its diplomatic sources.
They said that the Serbian delegation was "pressured on Tuesday evening to agree to let Kosovo provisional authorities representative Skender Hyseni speak at the conference without being announced first by Head of UN Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) Lamberto Zannier".
Some countries wanted Zannier not to speak, and even not to attend the event, said the reports.
The Serbian representatives rejected the proposal, "keeping the Kosovo delegation's presence at the conference within the framework of Resolution 1244", according to this.
"The pressure to allow Hyseni to speak independently of UNMIK were another attempt to bypass Resolution 1244," said the agency's sources.
Meanwhile in Pristina, Albanian language daily Koha Ditore writes about "the possible unequal treatment of Kosovo at the informal EU-Western Balkans ministerial conference in Sarajevo".
The article said that it was "uncertain whether the chairman of the gathering, Spanish foreign minister, will allow Kosovo Foreign Minister Skender Hyseni to address the participants".
The daily, however, says that "Kosovo's representatives were optimistic about the Sarajevo meeting and that good friends, who recognized the independence of Kosovo, have made it possible for Kosovo to enjoy an equal status at the conference".
