Kosovo is a centre for human trafficking, according to a report of the U.S. Department of State, Radio Television Serbia reports.

The 2010 report, published by the U.S. Department of State, points that Kosovo is a source, transit side, and destination of women and children, victims of human trafficking, mainly for sexual exploitation and mendicancy.
Most foreign victims of sexual exploitation are young women from Eastern Europe, including Moldova, Albania, Bulgaria and Serbia.
An NGO has identified more than 300 ethnic Roma children, who have been forced to perform mendicancy, the report points.
