Djelic: A diplomatic battle is ahead of Serbia

Serbian Deputy PM Bozidar Djelic said the state expected the stand of the ICJ on the illegal proclamation of independence of Kosovo to be to Belgrade's advantage. Pristina is preparing a fake celebration through various marketing agencies, he added.

"Ahead of us is diplomatic battle in which Kosovo Albanians will try to prove that the court's opinion is to their advantage," Djelic said.

He told Serbian state TV Pristina is preparing a fake celebration through various marketing agencies.

On July 22, the day when the ICJ announces its opinion of counsel, a Serbian delegation, led by Djelic, will be attending a summit of African countries in Kampala, Uganda, where it will be defending Serbia's stand and the opinion of the ICJ will be presented to those countries.

On that occasion, the delegation will also say why countries that have not recognized Kosovo should work with Serbia in order for a resolution in the UN General Assembly to be adopted and why those countries that have recognized Kosovo should reconsider their stand.
