Mottaki: Iran will help in resolving the dispute about Kosovo

Serbian President Boris Tadic's message on developments in Kosovo was submitted to Iranian Foreign Minister Mottaki on Wednesday. The message was submitted by the special envoy of the Serbian head of state.

In his message, the Serbian president, while commenting on the special position of Iran in the Middle East region and the world of Islam, has presented a report on the latest developments in Kosovo and the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice.

Referring to the consequences of the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice in the Balkan region, Tadic has insisted on the need to respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of states, and called for the support of the Islamic Republic for Serbia.
 
Iran's foreign minister Manouchehr Mottaki thanked the Serbian president for his message and expressed hope that both parties to the conflict could reach an appropriate and comprehensive solution through dialogue.

Mottaki also expressed Iran's readiness to contribute to the return of durable peace and security in the Balkan region
