KFOR's decision adds to uncertainty and increase distrust among Serbs in the province, said Bogdanovic.
He pointed out that such a move of KFOR, without the consent of Belgrade and the Serbian Orthodox Church, encourages Pristina to continue with unilateral actions, but it is also an attempt to present the poor security situation in Kosovo as a much better one. Protection of Serbian holy sites cannot be left to those that they destroyed them or silently watched their destruction, said Bogdanovic.
He reminded that, according to UN Resolution 1244, KFOR is in charge of security in Kosovo, and thus in charge of protecting the Serbian cultural and historical monuments, churches and monasteries.
