Danas newspaper says that the Serbian draft resolution on Kosovo will be discussed, and that voting should also take place on the same day.

However, says the report, this will depend on the debate, and decisions made by the presiding country, Libya.

The paper quotes its sources ranked high in the Serbian state authorities, who said that Libya decided to accept Belgrade's request and schedule the debate for September 9, when Azerbaijan's resolution on Nagorno-Karabakh will also be discussed.

The session of the UN General Assembly will for the first time be attended by an EU representative, after this organization was granted observer status, according to the article.

President of the Washington Cato Institute Ted Carpenter says that American diplomats ‘are working overtime' in an attempt to defeat that resolution in advance, daily "Blic" writes.

In Washington and Brussels those believing that Serbia shall suffer ‘heavy defeat' again are increasingly loud in voicing their opinion. Analyst Ted Carpenter says that Serbian resolution is irritating the USA and the leading EU countries.

‘The USA views proposal of Serbian resolution as an act which is not friendly or of help. After filing of the resolution the relation between Washington and Belgrade has become cautious and tense to certain extent', Carpenter explained. He also thinks that the relation might further deteriorate should Belgrade remains on the present course regarding Kosovo, Blic writes.
