Battle for every UNGA vote

Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic confirmed after talks with Namibian officials in Windhoek that this country will not recognise the unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo, what media describe as the "battle for every UN General Assembly vote".

Jeremic, who is on a working visit to Namibia, said that the position of Namibia on Kosovo is clear, firm and unchanging, so Namibia has no intention of recognising the province in the future either.

Namibia will continue to support Serbia in all international forums and debates in which official Belgrade is continuing its diplomatic struggle for the southern Serbian province, Jeremic said.

This activity comes ahead of the UN General Assembly meeting on September 9, when Serbia's draft Kosovo resolution is expected to be discussed.
