Tanjug news agency qoutes Voice of America as reporting that Beger said there was "not enough security or prevention of discrimination against Roma in Kosovo", and that Amnesty International believed that Kosovo was "unsafe for Roma".
Member of the European Parliament from Germany Cornelia Ernst believes that Kosovo does not have sufficient conditions for the integration of Roma.
"At this point, Kosovo is not able to properly integrate the Roma into society. That is why we believe that the EU should help the Roma in Kosovo obtain access to health protection, build houses there, have education and a possibility of employment, which would mean that they enjoy full rights," Ernst underscored.
