Spanish ambassador in Serbia: "All issues should be discussed"

Speaking in Belgrade, the top Spanish diplomat in Serbia also stated that the talks should start soon and that they should be well prepared.

All issues should be discussed, Espana said in an interview for Tanjug, adding that there are technical issues that are more important than other but that he believes that the dialogue should be an open dialogue between the authorities in Priština and Belgrade.

Espana recalled that Spain, one of the five European Union member states that did not recognize the unilateral declaration of independence by Kosovo, started supporting the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina months ago and that it is now requested by a number of concerned parties across the world.

The ambassador backed the above statement by mentioning the support of the member states of the United Nations General Assembly which have recently adopted the Serbia-EU Resolution on the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, as well as the fact that all 27 member states support the dialogue.

Many partners and friends throughout the world support this, and they are headed by the United States of America, which is the key ally of all of us and which will, in one way or another, have an important role in the dialogue, said the ambassador.
