Cvetkovic told the gathering that Belgrade is ready for the beginning of a dialogue with Pristina, and warned that such issues 'should not be pushed under the rug'.

"A frozen conflict is a very bad solution since one can never know when a problem, which has been pushed under the rug, will emerge again in a few years of a few decades," Cvetkovic underlined in his speech at a conference on the EU integration of the Western Balkan countries in Brussels.

The Serbian prime minister believes that a mutually satisfying solution to the Kosovo issue is possible. He also said that such a solution would bring about a historic reconciliation between the two people.
