"Information on human trafficking appeared a while ago and then, as I understand, a professional investigation was conducted. The contents of this document must not remain closed to the public," Lavrov told.
He recalled that there were cases when reports about certain events in the Balkans were covered up. He cited the example of a report by Finnish pathologists who had investigated the events in the village of Racak in 1999, which served as an introduction to the NATO bombing of then Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
Lavrov said that this report has not been publicized yet, which is why the media must have free access to the Council of Europe report, because these are "very serious matters."
