Deputy Foreign Minister in the Thaci government Vlora Citaku stated that the report by Special Rapporteur of the Council of Europe (CoE) Dick Marty "tarnished Kosovo's image jeopardizing the process of its further recognition".

Commenting Marty's report identifying Hashim Taci as the boss of a mafia-style group engaged in trafficking in human organ harvested from missing Kosovo Serbs, Citaku stated at a press conference in Pristina that she expects the Albanian Foreign Ministry and other friendly countries to lobby for recognition of Kosovo's independence.
