Jeremic said that in the coming period Serbia would be under dramatic pressure from all sides, and added that the country had a principled and solid position regarding its future in Europe and Kosovo's future status.
He went on to say that Serbia was going through a delicate time, and needed to put all efforts into preserving state unity and a common policy on Kosovo.
The foreign minister voiced hope that the U.N. Security Council would decide that the dialogue should continue, as unilateral decisions were dangerous, of which a growing number of countries were aware.
On Tuesday evening, Jeremic departed for New York, where he will talk with U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and the ambassadors of the Security Council member states.
