The nine ethnic Albanians were arrested on suspicion that they had committed during the conflict in Kosovo.

The protests under the slogan "Everyone to the defense of KLA values", was organized by groups created after the breakup of the KLA, joined by a group of students and the NGO group Coalition for Democracy.

The protesters started at the Faculty of Philology, walked down the main street in Pristina and stopped at the plateau in front of the Kosovo government.

The protesters, who were carrying Albanian flags with KLA insignia, shouted "KLA, KLA", "set our liberators free" and called on EULEX to leave Kosovo. The protest ended without incidents.
