Marko Jaksic, of the Assembly of the Community of Municipalities of Kosovo, that such a move could cause unrest.
In reference to the Pristina-based, ethnic-Albanian controlled authorities, Jaksic explained that Serbs in the north would not accept "Kosovo's judiciary".
The court in Kosovska Mitrovica was reopened in 2008, after it was closed for more than seven months in the wake of the ethnic Albanian unilateral declaration of independence.
But only international judges and prosecutors have worked there since.
Jaksic said he thought there could be violence "considering the messages sent by the Serb judiciary during the latest rally in Kosovska Mitrovica".
He explained that the Kosovska Mitrovica court was a part of the network of Serbia's reformed judiciary, and that he was "surprised that judges from Kosovska Mitrovica were not insisting on returning to the building".
"I count on it that Serb judges will start a political campaign to return to their workplaces. What Pristina is doing, assisted by some international representatives, goes against Serbia's interests,", Jaksic concluded.
