Dacic pointed out that EULEX and Serbian police were not using all the opportunities to cooperate in combat against organized crime, illegal migration, various forms of smuggling, terrorism and drug, human and weapons trafficking.

The interior minister has said that he met with Cooper at his invitation during the EU facilitator's visit to Belgrade this week.

"Aside from expressing our wish to have better cooperation with EULEX, I spoke to Cooper about the need to calm the situation after relieving commanders in north Kosovo and about the need for EULEX to keep a status-neutral position if it wants support from the Serbian community in Kosovo," Dacic explained.

He also stressed that he had been cooperating with Cooper on a regular basis ever since Cooper was on EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Javier Solana's team and since the talks about Serbia's involvement in the EU missions started.
