Belgrade: Embargo is absurd and anti-European move
The decision of the Pristina administration to place embargo on goods from Central Serbia is a gesture of hostility and provocation, but Belgrade will not render any countermeasures, said Serbian President Boris Tadic.

Such a decision is immoral, absurd and contrary to fundamental European values, the President said.
However, he noted that Pristina could not have passed such a unilateral act without, as he said, some international sponsorship.
Tadic said that head of European diplomacy Catherine Ashton assured him that the EU institutions will not support the decision of Pristina.
Government wants European Commission to mediate in resolving problems with Pristina
The Serbian Government assessed at today's session that Pristina's decision to ban entry of goods from Central Serbia into the territory of Kosovo is a unilateral act to prevent the flow of goods which grossly violates the CEFTA agreement and prevents normal supply to the population of the southern Serbian province.
The Government has decided to warn the United Nations and the European Union of the possible consequences of such decision and to initiate the process of solving problems before the European Commission who is the founder of CEFTA.
The Serbian Government believes that the provisional government in Pristina wants to deny the meaning of the dialogue on Kosovo, cause uncertainty in the Serbian population and prevent an attempt of the democratic resolving of problems in the southern province, it was stated at a press conference after the Government's session.
