Kostunica: Compensations for Kosovo’s independence are insults to Serbia
Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica told the EU on Tuesday that Serbia would not accept any kind of compensation for Kosovo’s unilateral independence.

Those who want and intend to have Serbia as a partner must know that Serbia will accept partnership only as a whole, not as a halved state, Kostunica stressed.
He also pointed out that he expected the EU to respect Serbia's position that an EU mission could not come to its territory, Kosovo and Metohia, without a new UN Security Council resolution that would define a compromise solution for the province's status.
"The arrival of an EU mission would mean the beginning of implementation of the dismissed Ahtisaari plan and the beginning of implementation of unilateral independence. That is why Serbia fiercely dismisses in advance such an unlawful decision on the arrival of an EU mission," Kostunica said.
According to him, the presidents and prime minister of EU member states should at their December 14 summit take into account that Serbia found it completely unacceptable and an insult to its dignity to be offered any kind of compensation for Kosovo's unilateral independence.
