"Agreements without Belgrade unacceptable"

Goran Bogdanovic says it is unacceptable for EULEX, KFOR and the Pristina to reach agreement on administrative crossings and only inform Serbian authorities.

Referring to the deployment of customs at the administrative line checkpoints in the north, the minister for Kosovo said Serbs would peaceful resist such intentions by Pristina and will not allow the so-called independence of Kosovo "to spread to the north province".

If this does happen, Serbia cannot be held responsible for any consequences or any conflicts, Bogdanovic told.

He said that EULEX on Saturday morning informed Serbian officials that it will take over the administrative crossings Jarinje and Brnjak and that, in addition to its staff, members of the so-called Kosovo border service and customs officers will be deployed at the crossings and will remain there in the future.

"This is exactly the danger that we've always been pointing to, that resolving the problems in Kosovo must not be allowed without approval by Kosovo Serbs and Belgrade," he said.

Bogdanovic once again urged EULEX, KFOR and the international institutions to refuse to let Priština make unilateral moves that would raise tensions again and cause conflicts.
