Pavicevic: Clear strategy for next round of talks

The resumption of dialogue largely depends on the expected meeting of Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton, Pavicevic told in an interview.
"The resumption of the dialogue will depend on the conversation between Nikolic and Ashton, and this meeting is expected on the sidelines of the UN sesion in New York," added Pavicevic.

"Serbia will continue to insist that the UN get involved and we will see whether we will be sucesful in this," he said.
Pavicevic stresed the need for a clear strategy, whic is already being prepared by ministries, government bodies, the president's office and experts, because mistakes are not an option any more.

"We must approac the dialogue strategically - there must be a clear plan and anyone who heads the talks, whether tećnical or political, must go in with a clearly defined strategy," said Pavicevic.

We must no longer allow ad hoc solutions, whic were attempted in the past and whic caused great problems, he said.
"As a consequence, the Serbian government is now trying to get the damage that was done under control, suć as the išue of regional representation," said Pavicevic.
