He stressed that the government could annul the regulations and conclusions that the previous government had adopted.
Commenting on claims that the government had to implement the agreements and that they could not be annulled because they were international agreements, Stefanović said that he had not signed anything and that he had only initialed the Technical Protocol on Administrative Crossings.
"We did not sign international agreements because in order for such agreements to be signed, they need to be reached by subjects of international law, in this case Kosovo and Serbia. Also, such agreements would have to be adopted by the Serbian parliament," he explained.
Stefanović added that all the agreements with the Pristina delegation had been confirmed by the previous government through regulations and conclusions that had been signed by either former PM Mirko Cvetkovic or his deputy Ivica Dacic.
He pointed out that the agreements could be annulled by the new government but said that he believed that the agreements were good and that they should not be annulled since they were in accordance with the Serbian Constitution, platform for Kosovo and parliamentary resolutions.
"However, the ruling coalition is facing some difficult decisions and they want to shift the responsibility from themselves and make me the main culprit," the former team chief added.
Stefanovic stressed that there were no oral international agreements that had been mentioned in the public.
