At a Sept. 24 meeting in New York, where the UN General Assembly is in session, Ban Ki-moon and the Serbian president discussed regional cooperation in the Western Balkans and the role of Serbia in encouraging reconciliation in the region, including an EU-led dialogue with Pristina, the UN Secretary-General was quoted as saying on his website.

The same source says Ban Ki-moon extended his congratulations on the election of Serbia's former foreign minister Vuk Jeremic as the chair of the 67th Session of the UN General Assembly.
