Serbia's Office for Kosovo Director Aleksandar Vulin says Pristina is trying to avoid the continuation of the dialogue with Belgrade by dividing Serbs.

Vulin told reporters in the Serbian parliament on Saturday that "unusual statements" arrived from Pristina on Friday which aimed to convince Serbs from northern Kosovo that they should be the second part of the negotiating team, independent from the Serbia.

"Serbs said that they are a part of the team of the Serbian government and that everything they decide to do would be implemented through Serbian bodies," Vulin noted and expressed the satisfaction with the stand of the northern Kosovo Serbs.

He reiterated that Serbia was willing to conduct a political dialogue and that it would soon release the names of those who would be a part of the negotiating team, adding that no response had arrived yet from Priština as to whether it was ready to resume the dialogue.
