The attacks were targetting a MUP outpost in the village of Dobrosin, located on the administrative line between Kosovo and central Serbia.

The three were arrested in a joint operation of EULEX and the Kosovo police (KPS) and are suspected of belonging to a terrorist group which has claimed responsibility for the attacks in Dobrosin, near the Bela Zemlja crossing point.

According to a release issued by EULEX, all three individuals were arrested on Tuesday, and two of them are suspected of taking part in the most recent attack which occurred on October 7.

The case is prosecuted by a EULEX prosecutor from the Kosovo Special Prosecution Office.

The Serbian police checkpoint in Dobrosin has come under attack three times in the last six months. The last attack took place on October 7 when unknown attackers opened fire on the checkpoint, leaving no one injured.

The first one took place on May 17, 2012 when, as Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic said at the time, ethnic Albanian terrorists came from the village of Stubline and opened fire some 100-150 meters from the checkpoint.

The second attack took place on June 28, leaving policeman Branislav Mirković from Bujanovac with minor injuries.

Three days later, EULEX police identified five persons suspected of terrorism and involvement with a terrorist group. Two persons were put in custody, while the other three had their passports confiscated.

The village of Dobrosin, which has some 150 households and 740 inhabitants, is located on the administrative line, 16 kilometers west of Bujanovac.

The the ethnic Albanian "Liberation Army of Presevo, Medveđa and Bujanovac" - a terrorist group that was an offshoot of the KLA - was formed in the village in January 2000.
