The focus will be on future of Europe and stability in the Balkans, Hague wrote, without specifying the date when he will arrive in Serbia.
Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic said a few days ago that William Hague will visit Serbia, and announced a recent visit of U.S. officials.
Dacic told reporters that Hague's visit is very positive for Serbia, adding that he and the head of the UK Foreign Office will discuss, among other things, the events at a football match in Krusevac, central Serbia, on October 17.
At the end of the second-leg match of the play-offs for the 2013 European Champions, Serbia and England U21 players and staff started a brawl.
The English team claims that racist chants could be heard throughout the match, and they urge draconian sanctions for Serbia, however, a report by the UEFA delegates has not mentioned that, and the UEFA Disciplinary Committee is expected to table the incident on Monday.
