Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic announced earlier he would invite Nikolic to a meeting of regional heads of state in Budva, which Jahjaga will also attend.
I respect President Vujanovic's initiative to organize my meeting with Nikolic and participate in the improvement of relations between Kosovo and Serbia. Whether Nikolic comes to the summit or not is his business, said Jahjaga.
She said regional cooperation was an important condition as Western Balkan countries move toward the EU.
Vujanovic said earlier that Montenegro would host a summit of presidents of Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia by the end of the year, to which the Serbian president would also be invited.
Presidents of Serbia have boycotted top-level meetings in the past when the presidents of Kosovo took part.
