EU's Ashton invites Dacic, Thaci to Brussels

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton has Ivica Dacic and Hashim Thaci for a meeting in Brussels on November 7.

 "The goal of the meeting is continuation of the dialogue with a view to normalization of relations between the two parties," reads Ashton's statement.

Dačić and Thaci, who head the governments in Belgrade and Priština, met in Brussels on October 19 in the presence of Ashton as the EU mediator in the Belgrade-Pristina talks.

Beta news agency is quoting its EU sources as saying earlier tha they "will consider the most important subjects led by further progress in the dialog at a working dinner with Ashton".

According to this, "key talks will most likely be held on integrated border management, the implementation of agreements already reached and guarantees for Serbian culture and religious heritage".

Dačić and Thaci, according to the same sources, should hold separate meetings with Ashton first before attending a planned joint meeting between all three at the working dinner.
