However, EU rule of law mission (EULEX) spokesman Blerim Krasnici did not reveal the identity or nationality of the arrested, AFP reported.

Tahir Recej, a layer of one of the arrested, said that they were suspected of killing two Albanian civilians in June 1999, just days after the war ended and NATO troops took control of Kosovo, Reuters reported, adding that two of them are now members of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF).

The police arrested brothers Rustem and Hetem Geci, members of the KSF, KSF spokesperson Ibrahim Salja said, stressing that in this and similar cases the law comes first.

As reported by Pristina media, the third arrested person is Sabit Geci also a former KLA member.

The Organization of KLA War Veterans requested urgent release of the arrested, adding that the arrest is a clear indicator that EULEX has not yet given up on the hunt for former KLA guerillas.
