EULEX Head Xavier Bout de Marnhac has said that the role of the EU Mission at the administrative crossings and the manner of distribution of customs revenues will depend exclusively on the Belgrade-Pristina agreement.

During his visit to Belgrade, Marnhac conferred with Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and Chief Serbian government's Office for Kosovo Aleksandar Vulin.

Marnhac's visit came after the second meeting between Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic, Kosovo Prime Minister Hasim Taci and EU High Representative Catherine Ashton in Brussels on November 7 at which they agreed that the integrated control of administrative crossings as part of a pilot project on two crossings should start on December 10, with Dacic's insistence on EULEX executive role in the process.

This is a process based on the agreement of two parties - Belgrade and Pristina, which is underway. Generally, the role of EULEX is to provide all possible support to the dialogue. What we are going to do in this phase is to offer support to the process, and our role will be to implement what has been agreed on by the two parties, Marnhac said in an interview.

He believes that the meetings between the two prime ministers and the EU high representative are crucial i.e. a very important step in the improvement of the Belgrade-Pristina relations.

Marnhac did not want to comment on the investigation into the human organ trafficking, stressing that Chief Prosecutor of the EU Special Investigative Task Force Clint Williamson will issue a statement if he finds it necessary.

We believe that it is very important that Serbia and other regional states have confirmed full commitment and support to the
process. It is very important that all regional states have showed support for the probe to be carried out and completed, Marnhac said.
