Nebojsa Jovic, president of the Serb National Council in Kosovska Mitrovica and the accused's brother, again called on Aleksandar Vulin, the director of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo, to come out and say whether Slavoljub Jovic would be released.

Both lanes were blocked by passenger vehicles for about one hour, but there were no incidents. A KFOR patrol and Kosovo police officers could be seen in the vicinity.

The Kraljevo District Court ordered 30 days detention for Slavoljub Jovic and launched an investigation against him on the suspicion that he tried to kill KFOR troops in Rudare, the municipality of Zvecan, on June 1, 2012.

He is accused of wounding two soldiers with several shots fired at close range and jeopardizing the lives of the other soldiers present.

The charges against him include aggravated attempted murder and unlawful possession of firearms and explosive materials.
