American Larry Rosin Candidate for UNMIK Deputy Chief
U.S. diplomat Larry Rosin is most likely to succeed Stephen Schook to the post of UNMIK deputy chief, the Pristina press said Wednesday.

Schook left Kosovo amid a pending UN corruption investigation.
Rosin has already occupied the post once, between October 2004 and March 2006.
If he is appointed, this will be Rosin's third posting in Kosovo.
He was the first head of the U.S. office after the arrival of KFOR in Kosovo.
The final decision on who will be the UNMIK deputy chief is to be made by U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
According to the practice so far, the UNMIK chief has always been a representative of one of the EU member states, while the first deputy chief has always been a representative of the United States.
