It remains to be seen if it will happen before or after December 10, he told reporters in Belgrade, adding that it depended on when the technical elements were set.

The agreement will be implemented at 3 crossings in the first stage and at all of them by the end of the year, he noted.

A meeting between technical teams from Belgrade and Pristina is taking place in Brussels, he pointed out.

The working groups did a good job and it remains to be worked out at the meeting on Monday how the agreement will be implemented, he stated.

Meeting to affect European Council decision

Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Vincent Degert has said that the meeting taking place between Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic, Kosovo PM Hasim Taci and EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton in Brussels Tuesday is vital when it comes to European Council decision on granting Serbia a date for the start of EU membership talks in December.

Degert told reporters in Belgrade that there would be no new conditions or surprises when it came to requirements to be met by Serbia, stressing that the third meeting between Dacic and Taci came at the right time.

Many of the conclusions and decisions of the Council will depend on what will be achieved on Tuesday, said Degert.

This meeting is of vital importance, even though more will take place in the future, as it is occurring at a very important point in time, he added.

He stressed that both parties knew very well what was expected of them as both wanted to continue their road to Europe.

We are looking forward to Tuesday's meeting, Degert said.

Dacic and Taci will discuss integrated management of the administrative crossings between central Serbia and Kosovo.

Even though the new round of talks under the auspices of the EU foreign policy chief has not yet been officially announced by Brussels, it is expected that the dialogue will take the form of a working dinner.
