Procedures for crossings to be clearly defined

Head of Belgrade's team in the technical dialogue with Pristina Dejan Pavicevic has stated that customs and all others procedures that will be applied at crossings on the administrative line towards Kosovo will be clearly defined on Monday or Tuesday.

He told RTS it is very important that characteristics of statehood that currently exist on all checkpoints controlled by the Kosovo police - flags and labels of the Republic of Kosovo - will be removed.
"Only functional information will be displayed and there will be no flags or marks of statehood," Pavicevic said.

Asked how it is possible to start the implementation of the agreement on the integrated crossings management without knowing who will collect revenues, he said that this is an issue that should be defined, but it is difficult to do that.
"Pristina has its goal and aspirations. We have completely different stances, and the EU has its own regulations it would like to implement," Pavicevic.

He pointed out that, as soon as he is back from Brussels, he will confer with representatives of Serbs from northern Kosovo in order to explain everything that has been agreed to them.
"We will fight in order to fulfill all their requests," Pavicevic said, and added that the implementation of the integrated management of crossings at the administrative line with Kosovo cannot be delayed any more.

"Any further delay would have a negative effect and negative consequences not only for Serbia's EU path, but also for our international political position. Europe would stop talking to us about anything, not just about Kosovo," Pavicevic concluded.
