"A dangerous precedent for international law and international community has been created, and it could make situations in several world regions more ‘explosive'," Gorbachov said.

He voiced regret over the fact that the EU and NATO wanted to replace the Security Council in resolving the Kosovo issue.

''It is an unprecedented step, which will certainly result in failure, both politically and morally,'' the former Soviet president said.
