They are awaiting the outcome of a meeting between top Serbian officials and their representatives, which is scheduled to take place in Belgrade at 3 p.m. CET.
The gathered Serbs seek guarantees that there will be no customs duty collection at the administrative crossing and that no border is being established between central Serbia and Kosovo.
Traffic across Jarinje is not blocked, and there are no major delays for those traveling from Raska to northern Kosovo and vice-versa. EULEX carries out traffic control.
KFOR has set up a checkpoint on the Kosovo side of the Jarinje crossing, and allows passage to vehicles, occasionally checking some of them.
On the other side of the crossing, on the territory of central Serbia, where the Kosovo Serbs have gathered, there are a number of members of the Serbian Ministry of Interior.
Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic told that the national leadership will inform municipal presidents from northern Kosovo on the results of dialogue with Pristina at the Serbian presidency building on Thursday.
Late Wednesday, Dacic informed the Serbian president, the parliament speaker and the director of the office for Kosovo about the results of the latest talks held in Brussels and on talks held ahead of the release of the European Council's opinion on Serbia's progress on the EU path.
According to Dacic, Serbia's top officials expressed full agreement and confirmed the unified state policy on Kosovo-Metohija at this meeting.
