Serb at Jarinje crossing in fewer numbers

The Serbs protesting near Jarinje intend to stay there at least until the meeting of four municipalities from northern Kosovo on Friday, but they were fewer in numbers on Thursday after their representatives received the requested guarantees about the administrative crossings in northern Kosovo.

There are less people at the Jarinje crossing than on the previous nights, and the protesters will spend the night in cars, around fires and in tents, as they did earlier, a reporter has stated.
The members of the 4 municipal assemblies will decide on Friday whether to call off the protest, head of the Kosovska Mitrovica municipality Krstimir Pantic told Tanjug earlier.

He said after a meeting with Serbian officials in Belgrade the Serbs in northern Kosovo had received the requested guarantees from the Serbian government stating it would suspend the Integrated Border Management agreement if one of the sides failed to fulfil it.

Pantic stated that officials from four northern Kosovo municipalities will meet on Friday and that he was optimistic about the possible decision to unblock administrative crossings.
