The protesters, who parked their cars across the road, repeated their earlier demand that Jovic, who was arrested over a month ago, be released pending trial.

The Kraljevo District Court ordered that Jovic be kept in custody and launched an investigation against him on the suspicion that he tried to kill KFOR troops in Rudare, the municipality of Zvecan, on June 1, 2012.

He is accused of wounding two soldiers with several shots fired at close range and jeopardizing the lives of the other soldiers present.

The charges against him include aggravated attempted murder and unlawful possession of firearms and explosive materials.
