The platform will be the main, but not the only topic at tonight's meeting. They are also expected to discuss some disagreements inside the ruling coalition concerning the work of public company directors
Tanjug has learned that President Tomislav Nikolic will meet with parliamentary whips in the second half of next week to present the platform for Kosovo.
Representatives of parliamentary parties will be informed about the content of the platform at this meeting.
"The platform is ready, all that is left is for the president to schedule a meeting," a high-ranking official who wanted to remain anonymous told.
The platform will be sent to the parliament only after the meeting.
Tanjug's source explained that there was some confusion in the media over the timing and manner of the platform's presentation, even though it makes sense that the head of state would be the one calling a meeting.
The Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) parliamentary group announced earlier that the platform would be presented to whips in the parliament on Monday.
Deputy Prime Minister and SNS leader Aleksandar Vucic said this scenario was inaccurate:
"I do not know if it will be on Monday, but I know President Nikolic will meet with whips in the next few days and present the platform to them, and then we will go before the parliament with the principles," Vucic told the daily Politika.
He added the document was "quite realistic."
