Nikolic calls for consensus
Serbian President Tomislav NIkolic said on Thursday, during separate meetings with opposition leaders, that Kosovo was a historical issue that required the broadest possible consensus between all relevant political factors.

The platform for the talks is based on protecting Serbia's integrity, the Kosovo Serbs and Serbian churches and monasteries, the president's press service stated.
The opposition leaders informed Nikolic they would present the platform to their colleagues.
They will state their support and potential suggestions in a few days.
The first meeting that Nikolic held regarding the platform for the talks with Pristina was with the Democratic Party leader Dragan Djilas, followed by head of the Democratic Party of Serbia Vojislav Kostunica, Liberal Democratic Party President Cedomir Jovanovic and Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians leader Istvan Pastor.
