Kosovo Serb officials to discuss platform

Kosovo Serb officials will meet in Kosovska Mitrovica on Tuesday to discuss the platform on Kosovo and take a joint stand, president of the Kosovska Mitrovica municipality Krstimir Pantic announced.

Pantic told The press that representatives of the Serb municipalities in KiM will analyze the platform that was presented by Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic at a meeting in Belgrade a few days earlier, and take a joint stand, about which they will then inform President Nikolic.

Pantic specified that the meeting is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. in Kosovska Mitrovica.

The Serbian president said on Friday, after the meeting with representatives of all 28 KiM municipalities that the condition for Serbs' survival and stay in KiM is the unity among all Serbs on the key principles presented in the platform, and called on them to arrive at joint conclusions about the platform and make suggestions.

The Serbs from Kosovo gave a principled support to the Serbian president and government and their efforts aimed at institutionalizing the protection of the rights of Serbs and Serbia in further talks between Belgrade and Pristina, noting that the platform protects their interests, rights and dignity.
