Regional Spokesman of the Kosovo police Besim Hoti told the press that unidentified people set on fire a vehicle belonging to a Kosovo Serb, a member of the Kosovo police, around 02:10 CET on Tuesday.
A little earlier, one passenger vehicle that also belongs to a Kosovo Serb was damaged at another location in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica.
According to Hoti, the vehicle was damaged by gunfire, a rear window smashed, and one bullet ended above the petrol tank.
Kosovo policemen searched the scenes and launched an investigation into the incidents, the police spokesman said.
Car arson attacks became a common occurrence in Kosovska Mitrovica. Last week, unidentified perpetrators targeted a vehicle belonging to senior official of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) Marko Jaksic, which was also set ablaze during the night.
