Pristina's goal KFOR intervention in north Kosovo

Kosovska Mitrovica Mayor Krstimir Pantic said Sunday that Pristina wanted to provoke conflicts in northern Kosovo so KFOR would launch a military intervention in this part of the province.

He told Tanjug that Kosovo Albanians were planning on causing conflicts by using violence so the international community would launch a military intervention and so that Pristina would stop the negotiations with Belgrade.

Constant attempts of EULEX and Kosovo police to transport Kosovo customs and border police officers to the Jarinje and Brnjak are a part of the scenario, Pantic added.

He noted that Kosovo Prime Minister Hasim Taci was under constant pressure of the oppositions and his party colleagues because of the negotiations with the Serbian representatives and that Albanians would resort to violence in order to have an excuse to stop the dialogue with Belgrade.

Serbs will not fall for provocations and all protests of citizens in the north will be absolutely peaceful and nonviolent, the Kosovska Mitrovica mayor said.
