Vulin: We will not give Kosovo away

Aleksandar Vulin, director of the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo, has stated in Zvecan that today's generation of Serbs will not give away Kosovo, and Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) Bishop Teodosije of Ras-Prizren said that all that has been destroyed in the province will be rebuilt.

Vulin stated at a ceremony in Zvecan held in the honor of Serbian St. Sava on Monday evening that in the history of the Serbian people each generation of Serbs was faced with the same dreadful and serious question "Will you give away Kosovo"
"It would be a shame if we were the first generation which would say we would. We will not do that," Vulin said.

Bishop Teodosije said that in Kosovo enemies are desecrating Serbian churches and graves, demolishing and burning crosses in order to force out Serbs from these areas, which they have been populating for centuries.
"What I certainly know and what Serbs, who are determined to stay in their homes know, is that whatever others pull down, we will rebuild with God's help. The ones who destroy should ask themselves how they will build a future on such grounds like hatred and doing evil to others," the bishop said.

The co-organizers of the ceremony were four Serb municipalities in north Kosovo and the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo.
